THE HUB

The Hub is a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space located in the heart of Gunnedah’s CBD. Run by Gunida Gunyah Aboriginal Corporation, the Hub offers practical support, connection, and culturally safe resources for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people in the community.
 

Whether you're seeking help, wanting to connect with others, or just need a place to stop in for a cuppa and a yarn—The Hub is here for you.
 

What you’ll find at The Hub
 

The Hub is more than just a service centre—it’s a community space designed to support and uplift.
 

Here’s what’s available:
 

  • Support staff and housing staff on site to help with accommodation and wellbeing needs

  • Free cuppas, a microwave to heat meals, and regular Friday community cook-ups

  • Computers and a printer available for public use

  • Free health checks with an automated health station

  • Food hamper sign-ups, hygiene products and free period products through the Share the Dignity vending machine

  • Brochures, posters and community resources to help you find the right support

  • A private play area for children so parents and carers can talk to staff with ease

  • Outreach services visiting regularly to support community members where they’re at
     

A space to connect, learn, and thrive
 

The Hub also hosts workshops, programs, and events throughout the year—bringing the community together for healing, learning and celebration.
 

Whether you’re looking for help, curious about what’s on, or just want to drop in for a yarn, everyone is welcome.

(Closed on public holidays)

 

The building is fully accessible, with a lift to the upper floor to ensure everyone can safely and comfortably access the space.

Accomodation
 

The Hub offers a range of self-contained units on the top floor of the building. These units cater to different accommodation needs, including single rooms, couple suites, and family units. The units are both safe and comfortable, providing a welcoming environment for residents. One unit is fully accessible, ensuring inclusivity for all individuals.

To access the accommodation, guests have two options. They can either take the stairs or use the lift. This flexibility ensures easy accessibility for all individuals, regardless of their mobility levels.

The accommodation at The Hub is primarily used for crisis accommodation and transitional housing.
