WARRANGGAL DHIYAN

(STRONG FAMILIES) PROGRAM

Supporting Aboriginal families on their justice journey

Warranggal Dhiyan means Strong Families in local Aboriginal language. This program is here to walk alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families who have a loved one currently in prison, recently released, or impacted by the justice system.

Led by Gunida Gunyah Aboriginal Corporation, Warranggal Dhiyan offers culturally safe, wraparound support designed to build strength, connection, and stability for the whole family. We support each family for at least 12 months, working together on your goals.

Who Can Access the Program?

This program is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and families living in the Northwest NSW region who are:

  • In contact with the justice system

  • At risk of offending

  • Recently released from custody

  • Impacted by family incarceration

We also support young people aged 12 and over as part of a family plan.
