Tenancy Information & Factsheets

Supporting Safe, Successful and Well-Maintained Tenancies

Gunida Gunyah Aboriginal Corporation is committed to supporting tenants to understand their rights and responsibilities and to maintain safe, secure and successful tenancies.

Our Tenancy Information & Factsheets provide practical, easy-to-understand information about looking after your home, reporting repairs, managing your tenancy and understanding what is expected of you as a tenant.

The factsheets cover important topics including rent payments and arrears, repairs and maintenance, routine inspections, pets, visitors and additional occupants, property care, pest control, septic systems, smoke alarms, water and energy use, tenant damage, neighbourhood responsibilities, respectful behaviour, safety and moving out.

They are designed to help tenants:

  • understand their tenancy responsibilities;

  • know when and how to contact Gunida Gunyah;

  • identify and report maintenance or safety concerns early;

  • look after their home and prevent avoidable damage;

  • understand responsibilities relating to visitors, pets and household members; and

  • work with us to create safe homes and strong communities.

Select a factsheet below to learn more about a particular area of your tenancy.
