TENANTS

Support to Help You Stay Safe, Strong and Housed

Keeping a safe and stable home is a big part of living strong—and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

To keep your tenancy on track, it’s important to stay up to date with rent payments, look after your home by keeping it clean and tidy, and report any maintenance issues as soon as they come up. We want your home to be a place you feel proud of and safe in.

We know that life can get tough sometimes. If things start to feel overwhelming and it’s affecting your ability to manage your tenancy, please reach out to us early. Having a yarn and being upfront can make all the difference—it might even help avoid things like rental debt or issues going through the tribunal.

If you need it, we can offer extra support through a Supported Tenancy arrangement. This includes regular check-ins, case management, and connection to services that can help you stay strong and keep your home.

Many of our tenants are doing well and just enjoying their homes—and we love to see it. If that’s you, thank you! Keep up the great work by paying your rent on time and taking care of your place. You’re an important part of our community.

There are lots of services available to help you keep your tenancy on track and make sure you feel safe and supported in your home.

Whether you need a hand with rent, are having issues with your landlord or property, or just want to better understand your rights—there’s help out there. You don’t have to go through it alone.

Culturally safe services like WATAAS, NATAAS, and MMTAAS offer free support for Aboriginal tenants across NSW. They can help with things like rent arrears, repairs, evictions, and going to NCAT.

You can also get support with bills, access to emergency accommodation, and referrals to other local services like Legal Aid, housing providers, or mental health and wellbeing support.
